Age suitability
Qstudy is a study app for high school, college and university students. This page explains who it is for, what is inside it, and what to do if something is not right.
Who Qstudy is for
- You must be 13 or older to create a Qstudy account.
- If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, please use Qstudy with the knowledge of a parent or guardian, and ask them before buying a subscription.
- The Rep Program, which pays commission for sharing Qstudy, is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to join it.
What is inside the app
Study material made by AI
Notes, quizzes, flashcards, explainer videos, images and tutor chats are generated by AI models from the material you give it. These models have their own safety filters, but AI can still get facts wrong or produce something unexpected, so check important answers against your course material.
Study reels and comments
Reels are short study videos. Anyone signed in can comment on a reel, and comments are public to other users under their username. Comments are not reviewed before they appear.
Multiplayer quizzes
Qcompete matches you against other students. Opponents see your username and score, and there is no chat.
Subscriptions
Paid plans are bought through the App Store or Google Play, so the parental controls on your device (such as Ask to Buy or Family Link purchase approval) apply.
No ads
The app shows no advertising.
Staying safe
- Pick a username that is not your full real name, and never post your phone number, address or school in a comment.
- You can delete your own comments at any time.
- Your data is handled as described in our privacy policy, and use of the app is covered by our terms.
Report a problem
If you see a comment or any content that is inappropriate, or you are a parent or guardian and think a child under 13 is using Qstudy, tell us. Say what you saw and where (for example the reel title and the username). A person reads every message, and we remove content and close accounts that break these rules.
